Samsing Suntaleykhola

Samsing Suntaleykhola are twin tourist spots in the Dooars region just 80 kms from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. They are a beautiful blend of Himalayan foothill villages and tea gardens with an amazing freshness of air and water.

Suntaleykhola is a winding rivulet skirting around the village of Samsing. In the local language, Suntaley refers to oranges and Khola means a rivulet or stream. It is around 2800 feet in altitude and is 18 km from the Neora Valley National Park. This is nature lover’s place with time to spend lazing on huge rocks beside hilly streams and whiling your time away watching birds and butterflies. With this quietude comes the cultural richness of the village folks here. Apart from the greenery, Samsing is also popular for its local orange orchards, strawberry farms and cardamom plantations. These are a major source of sustenance of the locals of the area: the Nepalese. This is also the land of tea gardens and timber plantations another major source of income for the locals.
